I am the CNRS Chair of AI in Social Science and Humanities, hosted at the Complex System Institute of Paris . I am also an Associated Researcher at the médialab, Sciences Po, and a Research Fellow at CRI/LPI of the Universite of Paris. I am a Computational Social Scientist working at the intersection of mathematics, computer science, sociology, and political sciences. I lead the Formal Computational Socio-Politics Group.
Previously, I was at the Centre for European Studies and Compared Politics (CEE) at Sciences Po. Before that, I was at the Computer Science Department of Sorbonne Université (LIP6), with the Complex Networks Team. Before that, I was a Doctoral Fellow at the Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées (CMAP) at École Polytechnique, Université Paris-Saclay.
Research interests:
- Social media: systemic risks and compliance, multidimensional polarization, political segregation.
- Computer Science: Recomender Systems and evaluations, AI explainability, machine social cognition, diversity and information-theoretic metrics.
- Political Sciences: dimensionality and collective choice, political survey data, polarization and alignment, ideological scaling and ideal-point estimation.
